Dr. Frost grew up in rural Northeast Iowa, one of six boys. His late father was a dermatologist, as is one of his older brothers. He also has a younger brother who is an ER physician in Iowa. He moved to Indiana in 1984 for his internship year at St. Vincent Hospital and his three year residency in Dermatology at Indiana University. After experiencing the warmth of Hoosier hospitality, he decided to set up his own dermatology practice in Indianapolis, rather than returning to Iowa to join his father’s practice. After almost thirty years of living in Indiana, Dr. Frost is proud to call Indianapolis his home.
Dr. Frost has been married for 40 years. He has two adult children and two grandchildren here in Central Indiana. He is active with his local church in the choir and grade school as a girls’ basketball and cross country coach. Dr. Frost volunteers in the training of young physicians in our community. He helped train medical residents in the Internal Medicine and Family Medicine programs at St. Vincent’s Hospital for over 30 years, and medical students from Marian University for 5 years. Dr. Frost continues to train the Dermatology residents at Indiana University Medical Center for over 15 years. He has been to Honduras with his church on medical mission trips several times. He also volunteers seeing patients with skin problems at the Good News Clinic located on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis. His hobbies include cooking, fixing up old cars and motorcycles, and trail running. He has participated in trail running races ranging from 5k to 332 miles.
